Yes it is related to your dibeteas, specifically your blood sugar control. When your sugars run high, you are more likely to get it. If your doctor approves take acidophiles on a daily basis. It will help control the bacteria causing your problem.I’m not trying to be an alarmist, but dibeteas is like a time bomb. I was diagnosed with dibeteas type 2 in my early 20s. I always kept my A1C around 5.5 and by my 40s I had developed severe hypertension, coronary artery disease, and end stage renal disease. Be careful and do everything within your power to control your dibeteas. My mother and both my grandmothers died of complications of dibeteas at an early age. I refuse to give into this disease.If you have access to and endocrinologist or a dibeteas center, take advantage of the services they offer. Diabetes Management is an excellent magazine and there are numerous websites devoted to diabetic care. Make yourself familiar with the disease and aggressively fight it. Many primary care physicians still use old treatments. Remember, you are the MOST important member of your care team. Know and understand everything you are doing.
